Phra Kring Wat Suthat

On 15th. November 1940, The Lord Abbot of Wat Suthat was appointed as the 12th Supreme Patriarch of the Kingdom of Siam known as His Holiness Somdej Phra Sangharaja Pae. That year Wat Suthat commemorated the holy occassion by consecrating a series of Phra Kring known as Phra Kring Suphannaphat. Suphannaphat is a gold inscription of the titular name (confered on monks of the higher ranks of the Sangha Council) constituted by His Majesty the King.
