Somdej Wat Suthat
During the 1960's, Somdej Phutajarn (ex-abbot of Wat Suthat) started collecting auspicious powder and herbs from magic monks in Thailand. He then started making somdej amulet during the early 1970's. When ever there is any consecration ceremony, Somdej Phutajarn would bring along the powders for blessing. In 1973, Wat Suthat organized a grand consecration ceremony and invited many magic monks.
