Somdej Wat Suthat

During the 1960's, Somdej Phutajarn (ex-abbot of Wat Suthat) started collecting auspicious powder and herbs from magic monks in Thailand. He then started making somdej amulet during the early 1970's. When ever there is any consecration ceremony, Somdej Phutajarn would bring along the powders for blessing. In 1973, Wat Suthat organized a grand consecration ceremony and invited many magic monks. Among the guru monks that attended the ceremony are:

Somdej Wat Suthat Chinabanchor was consecrated in Wat Rakhang and Wat Suthat in the year 1996. The somdej is cast with 9 minerals (nawak).

Somdej Centennial Wat Suthat

Somdej Centennial Wat Suthat was consecrated in memory of Phra Sangharaja Pae centennial on the year of 1998. The ceremony was held in Emerald Buddha Temple,Wat Suthat plus 20 other occasions through out the Kingdom of Thailand. The somdej is cast with 9 minerals (nawak).



















Phra Chaiwat Wat Suthat

Phra Chaiwat 200 years was consecrated to commemorate the 200 years anniversary of Wat Suthat in year 2008. The amulets were cast in Wat Yai Chaimongkol. Then it was blessed in Wat Suthat during the rain retreat pilgrimage for 3 months before it was consecrated again during the Loy Krathong Festival in Wat Suthat.

Phra Kring Wat Suthat

On 15th. November 1940, The Lord Abbot of Wat Suthat was appointed as the 12th Supreme Patriarch of the Kingdom of Siam known as His Holiness Somdej Phra Sangharaja Pae. That year Wat Suthat commemorated the holy occassion by consecrating a series of Phra Kring known as Phra Kring Suphannaphat. Suphannaphat is a gold inscription of the titular name (confered on monks of the higher ranks of the Sangha Council) constituted by His Majesty the King.
